1st Night in Rwanda

Here's the update from our treck to Rwanda. We are off to speak in 7 churches in the next few hours and are expecting incredible things. I woke up with a very prophetic dream for the nation and feel like today will be very significant.

Update from Dr. Yodi in Rwanda

Here’s an update from the woman who is bringing our team to Rwanda . . .
 
What a week and a half this has been - there have been such highs and also some low points all adding up to LIFE!
 
Kenya ended on SUCH a high note - my last media engagement was a breakfast TV show live to 27 African Nations - where I got to talk about child health, TDA and our dreams for the organisation, my lovely family and I told ALL of Africa just how gorgeous my Rikki is........ and then during the phone in segment of the show the Kenyan first lady calls in to speak to me LIVE TO AIR to request TDA assistance for the Nation in the areas of maternal and child health and poverty alleviation!
 
Well I almost fell off my chair, the producer almost fell off his chair and the presenter was lost for words - completely unprecedented never heard of that such a high level government official would call in to a show like that! I made all the appropriate noises and then the icing on the cake was when the presenter, who is quite THE African celebrity, says so Dr Yodi our audience are unaware that you are also a powerful minister of the gospel, ( I gulped as this was NOT in the script) he says I downloaded one of your sermons last night ( CCC - Phil) and wow!, so tell me Dr Yodi how does your faith fit into all this amazing work you are doing............(p.s Shawn and Sally, he had also listened to the interview you guys did on your show as part of his research on me)
 
It was like a red rag to a bull, on SECULAR TV LIVE to Africa so they couldn’t even edit me out tee hee oh joy....it was an Esther moment, I WENT for it - launched into Daniel and Joseph and looked directly into the camera and said to Africa that like Moses I was born to tell the Pharoahs of our age - AIDS, POVERTY and DISEASE - to LET MY PEOPLE GO! and the show ends.................THANK YOU JESUS!!!!
 
Unsurprisingly, I left Kenya for Rwanda,  literally 3 hrs after that show, absolutely and totally EXHAUSTED. I arrived in Kigali barely able to function and on the first day dragged myself to the AIDS meeting, but retired to my room soon after, collapsing in a heap. The team thought I had malaria! I was drugged up to my eyeballs with all sorts! and really SLEEP and REST was what my body was craving! So sleep I did, and the Lord always surprises me as He keeps reminding me that when I am weak, He is strong. That His strength is made perfect in my weakness! It is almost a pattern now that HIS greatest work is done on the trips that I am most exhausted on! So I cannot even BEGIN to think that it was about me - as I looked awful, could barely walk, never mind talk fancy English!!! tee hee
 
Well Daddy is so good and He organised that a day spa opened in Kigali JUST FOR ME this week, with all my favorite products!!! so I got one of the most amazing facials of my life - Four Seasons, eat your heart out! Then on Monday morning, I get a phone call from the Kenyan First Lady's Protocol Officer ( remember I am in Rwanda) to say that Madam is arriving in Rwanda this afternoon and would like to meet you! SERIOUSLY, I couldn’t make this stuff up or make it happen if I tried!  So I crawled out of my bed in time to meet her, escort her to her room, which happened to be just by my room, and hear her reiterate her invitation to TDA!!! She also wants to come with her husband to visit us in Fiji sometime - huh?? She followed me to Rwanda!!!! I have spent the past couple of days with her and watch this space............I attended a Nutrition Summit that she was guest of honor at as her invited guest this morning - phew....

And in amidst all this, I managed to mobilise about $200,000 in resources for our next conference in Rwanda, and also had significant HIV/AIDS prevention meetings etc etc.
 
On a final note, today was also a very sad day for me, as I spent time with my friend at the Presidency who lost her 7 year old daughter this month.  I have been in tears most of the day - please pray for Anita and Richard her husband. Richard was driving their little 7 year old Theta to school and they had a minor bump in the car in which little Theta died instantly of a broken neck. What can we say, but God is God and good. Richard has almost lost his mind out of grief - please pray.
 
I am back in Nairobi, Kenya about to board a flight for London to meet my precious darlings, Rikki and Danni. 
Cold weather, Lion King and hot toddies await......then in 12 days time, I am back in Africa again.......

Rwanda Workshops Write Up

This is some of what our team will be doing in Rwanda on Dec 2-14

Transformational Development Agency will be conducting a skills
building workshop in Kigali, Rwanda, December 6 through 12th.
This week long workshop is designed to engage the creative senses
of a rising generation. Over 50 participants will learn skills in the
arts that provide a foundation for individual and corporate
entrepreneurial initiatives. Each person attending will gain new
skills in trades including but not limited to sewing, painting,
sculpture, photography and jewelry making. The goal of these
classes is to instruct individuals in the required elements
of building a business around art. A team of artisans have
joined together in this project to bring skills and experience
from art sectors from around the world
to pour into Rwandan youth.

Participants will learn how to create and market various forms
of art utilizing locally available materials to ensure sustainability
within the area. The program is also designed to equip them for
training others, guaranteeing the future of commerce in these
arenas throughout the region. Their marketable goods will be
available for sale locally and ultimately for export on a regional,
national and eventually international level.

Phase two of this program will be in 2010. It is intended to build
upon their already achieved skills as well as develop business
practices for entrepreneurs in the arena of the arts. Start up
funding will be made available to assist these
micro-enterprise ventures.

We at TDA believe that trade and entrepreneurship, not just
handouts, are keys to confronting poverty. This program will
demonstrate the necessary principles to empower individuals to
transform their own lives and communities.

The week long activity in December 2009 will culminate in a
Christmas party with over 100 at-risk children as guests of honor.
Presents, treats, finger painting and LOVE will be handed
out for all the children!

Mini Mozambique Update

This fun mini update just came in from some Iris friends in Mozambique

Last weekend we traveled way out bush to find a very happy people group. 'We invited people
to come to the front to receive prayer. They wanted Jesus in their life.
We prayed from house to house, destroying houses built for idols. There was
a blind lady next to the house where the team was burning witchcraft. She
heard our noise and asked and begged the team to come into her house to
pray. We went to her house. It was a big battle. We asked where the
witchcraft was, and a small girl led us to what looked like a synagogue of
idols. First we needed to destroy these idols. Then we prayed for her.
Anything more? we asked. She showed us her witchcraft medicine. The team
were apprehensive, so Jose took it outside and burned it. Up till now her
eyes had been totally white. After we prayed, she began to see! We went to
the place where she used to pray to idols. After we prayed, she said “from
now on, I want to follow Jesus”. We went to the river, full of crocodiles
and baptized 26 people. We continue in God’s strength.'

Testimonies: Jobs, metal dissolves & escape from drug lords

Eric Johnson told a testimony today about an unemployed graphic designer who ended up getting a free ticket for a $3,000 business ceo conference in the Middle East. While he was there, a Muslim woman walked up to him and said that, when she looked at him, she felt like she was supposed to ask him if he knew any graphic designers. He told her that’s what he did but was out of work at the moment. She asked him how much he normally made and he said about $5,000- $6,000 a month. So she said she wanted to hire him and pay him $20,000 a month to run a graphic design company for the government.

Danny Silk recently spoke at a John Bevere conference. A man came for prayer who had steel rods in his body. Two students on the ministry team had seen metal disappear before. The man was a diesel mechanic but couldn’t grab his tools. When these 2 students prayed for him the strength came back into his hands!

Eric Johnson told another story about a ministry in Mexico had a recent run in with some drug lords who kidnapped one of their young men. The men drove the young man around for 5 hours with a hoodie on his head before taking him out of the car to kill him. They put him on his knees and were going to kill him when the Holy Spirit came on him and told him “they didn’t give you life so they can’t take it”. So he told the men, “You didn’t give me life so you can’t take it”. Then he heard what sounded like a band of horses stampeding and the drug lords jumped back in their car and drove away scared. The young man’s ropes came untied and he was able to get home.

Treasure Hunt Testimonies from my friends

Treasure Hunt Halloween Sat Trick or Treat Jesus Style ha ha ha ha

The treasure hunts today were so good so many people were touched with the love of Jesus!!!  Okay just to let you know this is only a portion of what happen....We were also given the scripture Mark 16:17-18  And These signs will follow ha ha ha ha

We had a total of seven people go out and our destination was Andersen.  Several of us had the Sonic burger place and the others had Walmart.  Since Sonic is right in front of Walmart confirmation we were in the right place.   Wow thats when Jesus showed up!!!  We walked over to Sonic where we met a lady and a junior high soccer team.  We asked the lady if she needed prayer and she said yes she suffers from migraines all the time (that was one of our clues) she couldn't tell since she had just taken medicine but she said she felt peace.

 We then asked the team of boys if they had any pain one of the boys spoke up and said his ankle was hurting he said it was about a 8 for pain level so we prayed and it went down to a 2.  We asked if we could pray again and he said the pain was gone.  Then another boy spoke up and said he also had pain in his left ankle (clue) and he was wearing yellow shoes which one of the team members had on their list so we invited the other boys to come and pray for their friend they laid hands on their friend and all the pain left. The boys were so surprised that they could pray for someone and see them healed...:)

 Than another boy said he had pain the friends prayed and his pain went away too.  Meanwhile one of the other team members saw a boy hunched over in pain and asked if he had problems with his gallbladder he said yes (another clue on the map) she prayed with him and all the pain left his body. He started moving around with no pain!!!!!Yay

 We had also approached a few other people and blessed them and we were getting ready to leave and head into Walmart when a lady came and sat down at one of the tables.  We asked if she needed prayer and she said no..  We than noticed she had a hearing aide so shared the testimony from a couple of weeks ago where the lady who had been deaf for 54years after her eardrum was removed after a very short prayer was hearing.  She was touched by the story and allowed us to pray.

 She was over 40yrs old and has been deaf since birth in her right ear and in her left ear 8o% deaf.  Asked her to take out her hearing aide said a quick prayer and started backing up and having her declare how much Jesus loved her and how he was healing her and she was able to repeat everything she was hearing we got about 3 to 4 ft away when she turned to see she could hear everything we were saying.  We than did the same thing on the otherside and we walked about ten to 12 ft away and she was able to hear everything.  It was so amazing here she had come for food on her lunch break and God interupted her day and healed her she was also given a prophetic card which had a picture of a rainbow and listed Gods promises.  It was so great to see the Love of Jesus invade her life and heal ears!!!!!Yay Jesus!!!  

Then two of the team members went into Walmart and found a lady with a yellow shirt they also had the name Mia on their list.  Well the lady with the yellow shirt had a daughter named Mia who had Kidney failure so the team prayed for the little girl and the mother was so blown away with all the clues she knew that God really did love her.  Then she began to cry.

Then a we started heading into to Walmart when we saw a statue of a Wintu dancer and one of the team had dance so we stood for just a moment by the statue when a man with a red shirt (another clue) was heading into Walmart.  We showed him our map and shared what we were doing and asked if he needed prayer and he shared how he had been in pain for over two years with a siadic sp? back and hip problem (clues) so we prayed and his pain completely gone he started bending over, jumping up and down it was so amazing to see the joy all over his face as he realized there was no more pain..We then saw him several more times in the store while we prayed with others for healing and he confirmed that he was healed (the power of the testimony)...Praise Jesus

While the team was praying for him we saw another lady walk by who had a brace on her wrist and several of the team members went to find her and when they found her they found out she had sprained her wrist from a sports injury (another clue) and all the pain left.

We also found another lady wearing red so we walked over to her and her husband he was a retired pastor and had been hunched over from a back injury over 50yrs ago he was able to stretch his back up for the first time......

So after we were finished so we thought we decided to meet back over at Sonics and grab a bite to eat before heading home when we found another family.  We were getting ready to order when one of the ladies said you can come in a little closer to order thats when we said well we were actually on a treasure hunt and asked one of the ladies if she had back pain she said no.  She then said you can pray for our hearts though we just came from our aunts funeral who had died of cancer (another clue).   On of the team had lost family member as a clue so we showed them our map and started ministering to the whole family that's when God showed up and touched this family....They were on their way home from Oregon heading back to Vacaville and decided to stop and get something to eat.   After the a few minutes of ministering asked again if one of the ladies had back pain she said yes for more than 10yrs not one day without pain.she also had scoliosis  .. She was the one that said no at first....So we prayed and all her pain left she began to cry and felt the love of Jesus.She had been hunched over to take some of the pain away she starting moving around and felt no pain her mom could not believe what she was seeing...One of the other ladies had been praying that her family would be touch in a real way by Jesus and this was the day...She was there to witness everything God was doing.  Then we showed them the rest of our clues and one of the unusual clues was Pie ...Well it just happened to be the nickname of the aunt who had just past away.. The whole family began to cry.....Then the mother said she normally has migraines and we declared that the Lord was going to touch her and her head would begin to tingle as a sign she would have no more migraines all of a sudden her head began to tingle and she felt so much peace.She also started to cry..In the midst of everything that was happening one of the ladies husbands call from Iraq and we were able to minister to him and prophesy over him we also shared how the Lord was going to touch him right there and his hands would start to get hot..  Immediatley he shouted my hands are getting hot my hands are getting hot...God rocked the whole family they were so touched by the Love of Jesus.   Another team member gave a braclet to one of the ladies.....She was so touched.   I love it liquid love turning their mourning into dancing they left so full of joy it was priceless.   

There were so many more who were touched with the Love of Jesus many love encounters!!!
God showed up in such a powerful way...God had so many treats for so many people on Saturday...Halloween

Kris Vallotton - Sunday Night Service

11/1/09 – Sunday night

· Proverbs 18:16 A man’s gift makes room for him, 
and brings him before great men.

· Our role isn’t to discern the dry bones but to call forth the mighty army. What if God is saying, “I don’t want you to tell me what is but what can be”. Where we don’t just have a good idea but a God idea

· The mascot for this prophetic season is no longer the eagle but the owl. Kris prophesied, “I feel like the Lord is changing the mascot of this season from the eagle to the owl because the owl is nocturnal, lives in the night, can see the eternal and knows who’s who”

o The next day Kris was meeting with a rapper whose on VH1 named Amad. Kris prophesied over him that he’s meant to be a prophet to the nations and that God has been giving him a sign to show him this. Amad told Kris how he kept seeing white owls swoop down and almost hit him as he drove or walked and he knew it was the Lord trying to get his attention.

o Brian and Jen Johnson keep seeing white owls too. In the night season the owl can see what is meant to destroy and he not only destroys it but it brings him nourishment.

· There’s something about going into the darkness, looking past people’s stuff, and learning to trust them. Like looking at a rehab and knowing that she’s in the lineage of Jesus. The Lord is giving us extraordinary love for people we normally we wouldn’t like – for people on the other side of political or religious issues. Like Daniel saying that he wished the negative interpretation of the kings dream was for his enemies instead of the king - even though the king had killed his family and conquered his people

o Your repetition becomes your reputation. If you want to change your reputation then change your repetition.

o When we learn to love people on the other side of the fence other Christians will think we’re standing with their issues. This is denominationalism at its worst.

o Protestants were born into a protest over truth. Is it possible that this is a curse that has followed us and kept us from discipling the nations? We feel like we need to defend truth over maintaining relationships. The most profound affects of denominationism isn’t church splits but how it hinders us reaching the world.

o This spirit is behind ordaining homosexuals – because we must agree to embrace people. So we ordain them because we don’t have permission to love them without either one of us changing our beliefs. Then evangelism looks like getting someone to agree with us. But most of us had an experience before we believed.

o Abraham was a friend of God but how much did he know about him? In denominationalism we believe that God falls on people when they get everything right. Even though in history God’s touched people who were totally wrong. Then we can’t have friends who don’t believe what we believe unless we have an agenda to convince them otherwise. But God touched Nebuchadnezzar who was a polytheist.

o We need to adjust the way we think that God moves. What are we going to do with our brothers? People said Jesus was a drunkard or sinner because he hung out with them. The rubber hits the road when our love benefits them and makes them successful. We need to just love people and we will influence them later but that’s not our main goal in connecting with them.

o In the next 5 years, we’re going to be the main people giving counsel to people in high positions. One of the greatest miracles in the next 2-3 years is going to be supernatural love that transcends our mind.

o The Lord allows us to bring down strong holds that others trust in when they know they have arms to fall back into.

o The Lord is bringing the wealth of the wicked into the hands of the righteous so that we can take care of the wicked since they haven’t been taking care of themselves. God will give us as much money as we won’t hold onto. God loved us when we were wicke

o Our hearts gunna love people that our head doesn’t like and then our head will love them too.

Bethel Sunday Sermon, 11/1/09 - Bill Johnson

· Most of today’s service was amazing testimonies which I’ve titled and posted in separate entries below:

· Luke 4:18 – we need to be in a company of people who declare that “the spirit of the Lord God is upon me”. Declare that ourselves for ourselves and eachother.

· We broker what we are constantly aware of. We project our atmosphere into our environment.

· Jesus had an encounter with the Holy Spirit released from the Father – saw the heavens torn open (this word is used to describe the tearing of the temple curtain from top to bottom, not the word for a parting of the clouds”) this wasn’t a token experience. In God’s kingdom a title confirms an experience. He received the anointing and therefore was called the anointed one. The Holy Spirit descended on him and remained. As we bare the name “Christian” we are declaring that we are “anointed ones”

· God is so committed to fulfilling his accomplishments on the earth – for the earth to be filled with the glory – that he looks for the slightest leaning of someone who He can release this through.

· Jesus was baptized in water and then filled with the spirit. The Spirit himself led him into the wilderness.

· God sometimes sticks you in over your head to fulfill the work He’s already done in you – to reveal your strength and not your weakness. Sometimes He’s silent because He’s already deposited that word in you and he wants you to search out that deposit for yourself.

· These are the station: Filled with spirit – led into difficulty – returned victorious – the spirit of the Lord God is upon me. Something took place in this proclamation so that nothing could stand before Jesus. If what you’re doing isn’t working, go back to the stations and make sure you got filled! Then go where he says, find out that this stuff works, then stand up and start making declarations.

Testimonies from Heidi & Rolland

First off, Rolland is totally better. Bill says they have the brain scans to prove it, showing how his brain was deteriorating and is now fully alive. Bill also says that Heidi and Rolland have the weirdest testimonies. One testimony is from a man who said, “ I was dead from July 22^nd to July 25^th “ and then Jesus raised him to life.

In a certain tribe, if family members need a new organ, they kill a family member and eat that organ so they can get a new one. So one woman’s testimony is, “Heidi hugged me and I decided not to eat my family”

One lady was constantly beat by her husband and just hated him. He died and she was convicted so prayed for him and raised him from the dead even though she didn’t want to. But she didn’t know how to lead him to Jesus so brought him to church and said “I decided to forgive my husband and raise him from the dead and he’s here and wants to know Jesus”.

Back Dated Word of Knowledge

In 2004, Kris Vallotton was on Sid Roth and Kris prayed for the sick on the air. Kris saw a woman throw herself out of a 3^rd story building and break her back in 3 places while trying to commit suicide. He said the Lord was going to restore hope and break off the spirit of suicide for this person.

A few months ago Kris met a woman at a conference who told him that, in 2007, she threw herself out a 3^rd story window. In 2008 she turned on the TV and it was on Sid Roth at the exact segment where Kris was sharing his word. She received Jesus because of this word

Testimonies from Healing Night

Sunday night, October 11^th was a blowout miracle night here at Bethel. Bill had a word of knowledge about a corset and saw the Lord binding muscles together. When he gave the word a man came up who’d had his muscles torn from his spine when he was part of the cost guard in the 70’s. In 1992 the man received a promise from the Lord to stop praying and start thanking. He’d been thanking the lord for his healing for 17 years and was instantly healed this night. Many people are watching this later and sending in healing reports. One man was healed of a migraine, another of complicated foot problems, and another of scoliosis. Another man who watched it later said, “If you really love me God, tell Bill about my addictions” as he’d struggled with this for 6 years. A moment later Bill said “addictions” and the man fell to the floor, shaking and set free!

God at Work Cone

My friend Bomi just came to visit Bethel from Hong Kong and wanted to go on a treasure hunt. After a late start, the apprehensive group of outreachers found one of their clues of “red car” and “black hair” in the parking lot. The young woman was diagnosed with brain trauma and having all kinds of issues because of this. As the group prayed for her she fell out onto the concrete, shaking under the presence of God. The team leader went and got an orange cone to place by her so that other cars would stay away. The team stayed there and ministered to her for a while. She said she felt much better and received a lot of healing.

Church Metal Detectors & Dissolving Battery Packs

Bill Johnson said he saw hundreds of miracles this week during a Randy Clark conference. People, who had metal fusions in their body that weren’t able to bend and, after prayer, were able to move freely. Randy has seen so much metal disappear that he’s going to get a metal detector wand like they have at the airport so they can wave it over people’s bodies to see if the metal has dissolved after prayer. Bill says every church needs one of these.

A woman had an implant device placed in her body that blocked nerve pain signals because her back was in so much pain. They implanted the battery pack for the device into her butt cheek. After she got prayer, all her pain went away! Then she checked her bottom to find the battery pack and couldn’t find it!!

12,000 Muslims Saved & Raining Inside

Bill released a testimony from a friend of his who recently led 12,000 Muslims to the Lord. This man has led a total of 850,000 to 900,000 Muslims to the Lord in Pakistan alone!

A couple weeks ago a student in the school of ministry asked a question about worship and it started raining in the building. This fulfilled a word that Martin Scott gave to Bethel about it raining inside.
